A: All of out themes are based off of cult themes as well as war and horror

Q: Are you involved with Dark Forest Productions?

A: Dark Forest Productions (DFP) is our own label/disto it is ran by OldNick (keyboards) of Ceremonial Castings. It is basicaly a way to get out our name as well as other local groups and side projects that we like.

Q: How many official releases does Ceremonial Castings have?

A: All of the releases we have put out are self made cds/demos.

We are currently working on a new cd, and we may release a live bootleg this fall.

Q: Has Ceremonial Castings played live?

A: Ceremonial Castings (CC) has played a few local gigs, as you can tell by the dates of releases on our cds. we have been really busy in the studio so we are getting back to more of the live gigs. We are playing our first gig in a year and a half October 25th, which may possibly be recorded and released as a bootleg.

Q: How many people are in the band currently?

A: Right now there is just 2 in CC. Myself Jake "The Serpent" Superchi - All Vocals/Guitars & My brother (Old)Nick Superchi - All Keys/Synths/Pianos All the studio drums are recorded by myself and the bass by OldNick, hopefully we will be able to find some live musicians to sit in, but for live performance we just play to the recorded drum tracks, almost likea drum machine except it is myself that is really drumming.

Q: How old are you guys?

A: Jake "The Serpent" Superchi is 20 yrs. old and OldNick will be 18 this Winter

Q: What types of music are your favorites?Bands and genres?Influences?

A: We both are really influenced by Black, Death, Thrash & some Gothic as well as Power Metal. We also like Classical and movie soundtracks. As far as favorite bands there are too many to list!!

Q: What is the local scene around you like?Bands we should look for?

A: CC comes from the Northwest, and we are within a half hour of "Agalloch" & "Thy Infernal", I really like both of those bands & listen to both often also a side project that formed into "Agalloch" called "Sculptured". We also have some side projects our selfs that you can check out like "Detrusion", "Mysticism Black", "The Vision Red" & "Hellcham" not to mention a few others

Q: What are your favorite books,movies,or TV shows?

A: Well we dont really read too much, unless it is metal magazines or school books haha, As far as movies I would have to say "Legend", "Lost Boys" "Lord Of The Rings", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre I", "Vampire Journals" as well as the "Subspecies" set. We are always watching old horror movies and war movies. Tv shows we dont catch too much, "Simpsons", 'WWE", "Slamball", 'UFC" and Boxing Pay per views.

Q: What do we expect soon from Ceremonial Castings?

A: We are going to be hitting the Portland, Oregon area live real soon hopefully, I know we are working on a new cd which should be far more brutal as our last releases but will still obtain the atmosphere and melodic essesences. Hopefully we will get noticed sometime soon, I would like to hit the battle of the bands at the Roseland Theater in Feb. 2003 in Portland.
