A: We are from the south-east of Germany, an area that is called Bavaria.Our drummer is around 21 or 22, Sindar is 25 years old. Aran is 26,and I am 30.

Q: Give a brief history of where you got the idea come to create Lunar Aurora?

A: Aran and myself always had this strong craving to express ourselves in music.So when we got to know each other we simply joined forces to do something serious,something that is much more spiritual than anyone else did before and it became Lunar Aurora.

Q: How long have you been doing and musick what are your influences?

A: Lunar Aurora rose in December 1994. The biggest part of the influence comes from our souls and nature.But there might also be influence from other dark music.

Q: How many people are in Lunar Aurora currently?

A: Profanatitas on drums, Sindar on keyboards and bass- guitar, Aran on guitars and myself on guitars and vocals.

Q: What type of musick do you consider Lunar Aurora ?

A: Black fucking metal.

Q: How long has Lunar Aurora been around?

A: Since december 1994.

Q: What is your political and religious beliefs?

A: I neither believe in politics nor in religion. everything I need I find within myself.

Q: What do you think of Christians?

A: Nothing.

Q: Have you heard of Aleister Crowley,and if so what do you think of his writings?Or other Occult writers?

A: I have heard of him, of course, and some of his ideas are really interesting but as I am not a follower of anyone else's path, I'm not very deeply involved in this kind of occult writings anymore.

Q: What is behind the songs of Lunar Aurora ?

A: Our souls, music beyond the limits, lyrics beyond the blinding blare.

Q: What is the imagery you are trying to convey thru the media you have chosen?

A: There is no image, what żou see is what we feel inside. Nothing more and nothing less.

Q: How many official releases does Lunar Aurora have?

A: 2 Demos, 4 albums, a split- 7" with Secrets of the Moon and a multi- split 2LP called "Wurzelgeister".

Q: Has Lunar Aurora played live and if so with who and where?

A: We did some gigs together with for example: Desaster, Emperor, Nagelfar, Bal- Sagoth, Impending Doom, Dark Fortress.The gigs were all around here in Germany. At the moment we are planning further live activities these year.

Q: What types of musick are your favorites?Bands and genres?

A: Mostly old black metal such as Venom, Darkthrone, Celtic Frost, Bathory, Sarcofago all that old and elder stuff,but also newer bands like Paysage D' Hiver, Darkspace, Malus, Beltez, Morrigan I really like.

Q: Any bands you toured/played live with that we should look out for?

A: I guess the best live bands from here are Desaster, Morrigan and Eminenz.

Q: Are you or any of your members involved in side projects?

A: No.

Q: What are your favorite art,books,movies,or TV shows?

A: About art and TV shows I cannot say very much because TV shows I don't watch and about art I have no clue.If I read, I read different kind of fantasy stuff such as Tolkien, Lovecraft and Poe. Movies I liked were the first two parts of the Lord of the rings triology,The Exorcist, etc... Mostly fantasy and horror movies.

Q: What do we expect soon from Lunar Aurora ?

A: A split lp with Paysage D' Hiver, hopefully during this summer. An album called "Elixir of sorrow" in September and an album called "Zyklus" in the beginning of 2004. There will also be some live activities again.
