Influenced deeply into occultism, this cult of darkness enshrouds alot of information.Behold tis time to prepare the mind for the revelations of ...Psychonaut 75.

Q: Please let us know your names ? Where are you all from and how old are all of you ?

A: There is Lux Ferro, she one of the vocalists and programmers for Psychonaut 75, 28 years old, there is Dana Dark, vocalist for Psychonaut 75, 30ish and Michael Ford, founder, programmer and vocalist for Psychonaut 75, 28 years old. Lux and Dana are from Texas, Michael is from originally Indianapolis Indiana. We reside in Houston, Texas.

Q: Give a brief history of where you got the idea come to create Psychonaut 75 ?

A: Psychonaut 75 is originally a ritualistic project which I recorded Aleister Crowley’s “Liber AL vel Legis” in 1997-98, the name Psychonaut was inspired by Peter J. Carroll’s book on chaos magic – “Liber null/psychonaut”, which along with the writings and ideas of Austin Osman Spare, Sun Tzu and Anton Szandor Lavey, had a strong impact on my work. Psychonaut was intended to explore the darker elements of ritual magick and did fulfill its purpose then. When I moved to Houston, Dana Dark, known for her modeling work with Gothic Sluts and Barely Evil, her DJ endeavors really was deeply involved in magick, we hit it off well and she joined the band with Lux Ferro. Psychonaut 75 entered a new phase of work and we recorded “Stealing the Fire from Heaven”. We then went on to record a ritual-soundtrack for Rex Diabolus Church, the Satanic Artist, for a documentary they are filming. This recording, “Azathoth” and a collaboration with AMF, spread the name of Psychonaut 75 well enough. We then recorded “Hellmachine” and that is due out soon via Dark Vinyl. Psychonaut 75 still has a lot planned.

Q: How long have you been writing and doing art and what are your influences ?

A: Since the early 1990’s really. Influences musically are broad for Psychonaut 75, but to name a few that come to mind: Zero Kama, Laibach, Hunting Lodge, Coil, Current 93 (EARLY), Front 242, Sleep Chamber and much more. Also my own magical practice in the past years has really driven my music creation, I am a writer and have published a book called Luciferian Witchcraft (ISBN: 1-4116-2638-9) and some other such things. I hold a strong interest and dedication to these subjects and no doubt have a lot more to do with all of my projects.

Q: What type of musick do you consider Psychonaut 75 ?

A: Industrial, electronic, dark, ritual. Overall unique to some extent. Even Luciferian or Satanic if ideological views are presented.

Q: Have you played live and if so with who and where have you traveled?

A: We have traveled in different places over the years, not many live performances. A liver P 75 performance is a ritual, not us performing our songs in the traditional sense. We use sound manipulations like PHI Binaural beats, noise, ambience and ritual patterns to aid the invocations we perform. It is a very intense experience to be involved with P 75, moreover probably as interesting for the attendants at our performances. We do not have scheduled currently, we all are busy individuals but things will for sure happen again in the future.

Q: Describe a usual Psychonaut 75 live show please ?

A: A ceremonial ritual, focused at awakening the bestial elements of our nature, opening the gates of hell in the subconscious of the attendant, allowing them to participate in their own capacity within the crowd, awakening the Fenrir wolf within, apocalypse, the gates of hell opening, blood, devouring spiritual energy, summoning/encircling spirits within the performance and binding them in one way or another to the attendants (it works with individuals in different ways). I hope Psychonaut 75 offends or horrifies, sending shocks to the system.

Q: What are some of your politics or religious beliefs ?

A: No political agenda except Might is Right. I am neither Democrat or Republican. Religious belief, well I can mention I am a practicing Luciferian, Sethian (Set – the Egyptian prototype for the western Satan) and Ahrimanic (Persian Ahriman) – essentially manifesting the Adversary within (not just rebellion, it holds deeper significance as mentioned in my grimoires). I follow no man and spit on the ideology of the herd. Christians, catholics, muslims, etc. I have no interest or desire in herding myself. My musick is an expression of that idea.

Q: How and when did you get interested in occultism ?

A: I was a child and always felt very close to the concepts, I had an instinct for it, it was just with me since. I have followed my ideas since. All of us in P75 are that way, although a bit different we are still bound together by a long companionship, friendship and mutual respect for our individuality.

Q: What is behind the songs and imagery you choose ?

A: To present a deeper concept to the idea of the Left Hand Path, the separation and empowerment of the individual by the initiatory structure and aim of antinomianism, the very path of the Satanist or Fallen Angel of traditional Gnostic or Hebrew lore. Psychonaut 75 is not shock-horror-bullshit “satanic” imagery, but we present image upon image which reflect the path itself, the realities and myths which hold a deeper reality to those open to moving against the herd of humanity. Our songs are not about escaping the earth, rather possessing it!

Q: How many official releases does the Psychonaut 75 have?

A: “Liber AL vel Legis”, “Pylon of Daath”, “Witches Sabbath”, “Demonium of the Earth, split CD with AMF”, “Stealing the Fire from Heaven”, “Zos vel Thanatos” 7”ep. That is 6 cds total. We soon have “Hellmachine” which will make our seventh.

Q: Are you involved in side projects? And please tell us about them if so ?

A: I am involved in Black Funeral, a black metal band with industrial elements, Satanic and violent metal music, Hexentanz – medieval ritual music created with members of The Soil Bleeds Black, Ordo Tyrannis, a doom black metal project which is something like Thorns meets Archon Satani or Winter, very haunting. Keeping very busy with all of these.

Q: What types of musick are your favorites ?Bands and genres?

A: Well I enjoy industrial music, ritual, some black metal, classical, middle eastern, the list is on and on. Some favorite bands, Suicide Commando, Zero Kama, Sleep Chamber, Von, Mayhem, Darkthrone, Laibach, Lustmord, Death in June, Diamanda Galas, and much more.

Q: What are your favorite art, books (please include authors), & movies if any ?

A: Art related HR Giger, Austin Osman Spare, Aleister Crowley, James Havoc (Satanskin), Brian Lumley, Sun Tzu’s Art of War, Robert Green (48 laws of power), Peter Carroll (Liber Kaos, Liber Null/Psychonaut), Nick Hall (Chaos & Sorcery), various works by Stephen Flowers, etc.

Q: What do we expect soon from you and your projects?

A: A new collaboration with AMF and Psychonaut 75 is in it’s early stages, Hellmachine comes within a month and we are soon to record new material for Psychonaut 75. We have a lot planned.

Q: Anything else you would like to add ?

A: Thank you for the interview – Arise Luciferian Youth!
