Q: How long have you been doing Noise,and what are your influences?

A: Since 1998. Death and the dark sides of the human mind has always been a very important influence in my work, death/horror has always been a fetish for me. When I was 10 years old I found the decomposing rotting corpse of a cat in a car-cellar , I was deeply fascinated and disgusted by it, I remember that me and a friend put it in a cardboard box and took it to our playhouse to study it. Since that childhood experience I have always been into death/gore: videos, art books, graphic novels etc.. Right now I think my biggest influences are painter Francis Bacon, the notorious director Hisayasu Sato( naked blood,the bedroom, lolita vibrator torture ) + Masashi Tsuboyama´s masterpiece computer game series Silent Hill 1-2 for ps2.

Q: Give a brief history of where you got the idea come to create the Hentai?

A: Well, I have been a hugh collector/specialist in Japanese film culture for many years, I collect Japanese video/dvd in these genres: anime, death/horror/mondo, rape/bukkake/bondage + art/photo books etc. I think my noise universe is very inspired by these Japanese medias that are such a big part of my life, so I thought Hentai seemed to be a natural name choice, but to people who don’t know my noise I’d like to say that in spite of the name “ Hentai “ my style is not at all similar to Japan noise, in fact I think most Japanese noise is unoriginal and boring, their scene is mostly dominated by poor constructed white/harshnoise styles. Some of the Japanese noise artists I enjoy/respect are: Masonna, Aube, Merzbow, Contagious Orgasm, Akira Yamaoka, Guilty Connector, Thirdorgan, Mikadroid, Groyxo, Bastarbation, Seedmouth etc.

Q: About how many Hentai releases have you made?

A: I have released 4 cdrs on noise label Negatron Heavy Industries( USA ), 1 cdr on power electronic label Cyberblast Records( USA ), a 3way split cdr with cheap machines + zensoku grind on Authorised Version( UK ), a split cdr with Groyxo on Final Scato Records( JAPAN )

Q: How long does it take to make an Hentai release?

A: I always use my music as a creative dumpster where I dump all my violent emotions, frustrations, hatred, and anger that I built up in my everyday life. Sometimes the negative force within me gets so massive that I just have to take it out on my equipment and when that happens I work very fast in a manic sort of way, I mostly record all tracks in 2-3 days and then finish the release. I also never re-edit my tracks or change them in any way and I always put the first track I record as track 1 on the release and the last track I record is always the final track on the release, that gives the final release an overall chronologically audio wholeness that reflects the mood I was in during the recording sessions.

Q: Why the obession with Extreme Japanese fetish culture?

A: That is truly a hard question, there are some different aspects to see it from, But I think the main thing is that I fell so deeply connected to the morbid and melancholic life vision that always seems to be present in both the sex and new wave cinema of Japan , they have a unique way of blending original avant-garde filmmaking with merciless perversion and brutality and they are always able to fascinate, disgust and turn you on at the same time. Most Japanese directors has a keen eye for visual details and technical perfection that is unmatched anywhere else in cinema today. Japan is truly innovative when it comes to movie making in all genres, and the rest of the world needs to see that.

Q: I hear you work on a Japanese review magazine.Please tell us how you got involved,what is your involment,what does it discuss,and how do people get copies of it?

A: I am a writer for the best and most serious cult film magazine in Denmark its called Absurd. The Magazine deals with everything from Italian Horror to German sleaze and French avant-garde. I write articles and reviews on Japanese New Wave/Sex/Mondo films, some of my recent articles deals with Guinea Pig series, extreme death movies like Death Women and Death Files + right now I’m working on an article about Japanese Rape Cinema. The Magazine is written in Danish, but I plan to translate all my reviews and articles to English and then put them on my Hentai Website in the near future.

Q: What is the imagery you are trying to convey thru the media you have chosen?

A: For me the fascinating thing about Sonic Art in general, is that you by playing a sound can make people react very strongly either in a negative or positive way, which means that I trough my Sonic Noise Art can manipulate and form the mood of an unknown individual and make him feel fear, death, love, or hate just by creating audio textures. For me music is suspended feelings, that reveals the mood and mind state of that specific artist. In many ways Sonic Art can have a much more powerful impact on people, than other art forms.

Q: What is the local scene around you like?

A: The noise scene in Denmark is very small, we only have a handful of underground noise artists. I hope the scene will grown in time..

Q: Have you played live,if so how many shows,and with who and where?

A: Yes I´ve done some underground shows in Copenhagen, my last performance was at a electronic music festival, but overall I’m not that excited about playing live.

Q: What is your political and religious beliefs?

A: I see myself as what I call a “ positive pessimist “ I have chosen to become very anti-social and cynical when it comes to intellectually weak persons, I don’t care at all about humans in general, most of the people you encounter in your everyday life are nothing more than living garbage to me. I’m an atheist. Religion is poison.

Q: Have people tried to clone or steal your ideas or designs?

A: Not that I know of, they will regret it if they try.

Q: Do you listen to music and if so what types of music are your favorites?Bands and genres?

A: I listen mostly to electronic dark ambient and power electronics but I also have a side interest in jazz music. Some of the artists I enjoy encludes : Ryuichi Sakamoto, Atrax Morgue, Scorn, Murder Corporation, Deathpile, Megaptera, Discordance, Jeff Greinke, Lab Report, Whitehouse, Brian Eno, Azoikum, Diktat, Necrophorus, Ambre, Sator Absentia, M.Griffin, Simm, DJ Krush, Kitaro, Vangelis, Richard Bone, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon, Debussy, grant green, Donald Byrd, Charlie Hunter, Wayne shorter, chick corea + many more..

Q: Are you involved in side projects?

A: Not really, I did a release under the name Gokemidoro called Audio Punishment on Negatron Heavy Industries, that´s all. Now I´ll just let Hentai mutate and grow..

Q: What are your favorite books,movies,or TV shows?
